Darius Johnston is the Senior Pastor at Christ Church Assembly of God in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he has served since 1986. The theme of his ministry has been to build a "hospital for hurting humanity." He believes that healing comes through a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and other followers of Christ. Under Pastor Johnston’s leadership, Christ Church has experienced healthy growth and in the year 2,000 relocated to a 22 acre campus, constructed a 65,000 sq. ft. worship center, and in 2005 opened a new 40,000 sq. ft. student ministry center. Because of Pastor Johnston’s vision for biblical community, Christ Church launched small groups in 2004 and is seeing significant growth. He is the co-author of two small group curriculums including 9=1: Nine Ingredients to Make One Incredible You and Essentials: Six Keys to Inspire Spiritual Vitality. Darius is currently pursing a Master’s in Practical Theology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. His passions include his family, missions, reading and golf. He resides in the Ft. Worth area with his wife Cindy. Their son, Brendon currently attends college in Texas and their son Brock and daughter-in-law, Summer, reside in the Ft. Worth area.
Stephen is the Associate Pastor at Christ Church Assembly of God, where he has served since 2004. He provides oversight to small groups, adult discipleship, and leadership development. Stephen has over 15 years of experience developing leaders through ministry, training, coaching, and the development of leadership resources. He is the author of The Uncommon Life: A Small Group Study of the Book of James, Journey of a Dreamer: A Small Group Study on the Life of Joseph, Developing Student Leaders, G5 and the co-author of two small group curriculums, Essentials: Six Keys to Inspire Spiritual Vitality, and 9=1: Nine Ingredients to Make One Incredible You. Stephen has developed an extensive leadership team at Christ Church including community leaders, coaches, and small group hosts. Under his leadership 86% of the adult weekend attendance at Christ Church is enrolled in off-campus or on-campus small groups. Currently Stephen is pursing a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship at Regent University.
